Motorists and households in Fiji will need to brace for higher fuel costs starting today, as prices for unleaded fuel, diesel, kerosene, and premix have gone up. However, there’s some relief for consumers as gas prices have dropped slightly.
According to the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC), here’s how the new prices stack up:
- Unleaded Fuel ⛽: Now $2.78 per litre (+9¢)
- Diesel 🚛: Now $2.45 per litre (+12¢)
- Kerosene 🏮: Now $1.87 per litre (+7¢)
- Premix Fuel 🛥️: Now $2.59 per litre (+6¢)
Meanwhile, cooking gas prices have seen a slight decline:
- 4.5kg Cylinder 🔥: Now $15.54 (-24¢)
- 12kg Cylinder 🏡: Now $41.44
- Auto Gas 🚗: Now $2.25 per litre
