The Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro, has announced that schools in the Northern Division, Lau Group, and Lomaiviti (excluding Rotuma) will remain closed until further notice due to ongoing disruptions to water supply, essential services, and the risks posed by Cyclone Rae.
Schools in the Western and Central Divisions will remain open, and parents are encouraged to use their discretion when deciding whether to send their children to school.
School heads are advised to maintain close communication with their respective Management Committees, District, and Divisional Officers for any further updates.
The Ministry of Education continues to closely monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
